Ingredients
4 Cups Cold Water
1 Tablespoon Soy Protein Isolate + 1/2 Cup Cold Water
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1/8 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Small Pasta Shells
2 Cups Frozen Green Peas
1. Place kettle on burner, turn burner to high.
2. While burner is heating, quickly add soy protein isolate to 1/2 Cup cold water, mixing it in thoroughly with a fork. Add this to the still cool water in the kettle.
3. What water is boiling, add pasta shells and cover, turning burner down to medium high until it re-boils, then turning it down to low for the remainder of 7 - 8 minutes (follow package boiling time instructions).
4. Stir in peas either thawed or frozen and either continue heating until soup boils or immediately remove it from the burner, depending on how hot you want your soup. If you prefer, for a summer soup, you can also refrigerate it - it tastes just as good cold!
